Please watch this.
At least watch from 1:50 on.
Tim, Loc and Kyle will be doing this on Sunday.
Oh you know! It’s time for a winter retreat and it’s coming up fast. Pretty much if you watch the super bowl, go for jog after all the pizza and chips, get your “special someone” a Valentine’s gift, and celebrate arbor day- after that- it’s the winter retreat!!!!
February 22-24th! Sign ups have begun, so you won’t be the first to sign up, but you definitely don’t want to be the last! It’s going to be a great weekend to get away and think, pray, worship, laugh and grow HARD! $65 dollars gets you in the door! But if money is a problem let us know and it won’t be anymore.
Email jneely@fefc.com if you have any questions. You can get a sign up sheet from him at church on Sundays or at Crossroad. The dealine is Feb. 17th.
We’re back! This Sunday Night at 7pm at the church! We’ll meet in the 600 rooms for some games, songs and introduction to the semester of CollegeLife. We are meeting at the church so it is convenient for everyone and you can bring plenty of friends to find out more about CollegeLife! NEXT week we’ll be back at Greenbrier! There is a lot of stuff planned for the semester so come on out and get involved from the start! See you Sunday!
Hey Folks.
Thanks for a great evening in the midst of exams. Hopefully it gave you some time to relax, hang out with friends, have some good eats and dominate some Christmas pictionary. It was good to see some real creativity. Have fun with exams and have an amazing Christmas.
yes, hunter was IN santa!

It’s hard to believe, but it’s true- it’s Christmas season!
This Sunday we are having CollegeLife at our normal place and time: 7pm at Greenbrier Clubhouse. Our topic is “Silent Night- When God seems silent” Because the truth is many times Silent night is much more than a Christmas song, it seems to describe our spiritual life. You’ll want to be there.
Next Sunday the 9th we are having our annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party! at the Neely’s House. You can get directions on the “directions” tab above, or I will have maps on Sunday! It will be from 7-9pm. Food, fun, ugly sweaters and Christmas movies. It should be a good break during exams.
See you this weekend.
We had a great night on the hill Sunday Night as we had a relaxed night of cooking hot dogs, smores and just enjoying a fire. Thanks to everyone who came out. Remember there is no CollegeLife Sunday because of Thanksgiving Break.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
We are having a special collegelife this weekend to get you ready for Thanksgiving break. Sunday night we will meet at the church instead of Greenbrier, we’ll have fire, hot dogs and of course- smores!!! We’ll start at 6pm, but feel free to come throughout the evening.
Hey Folks
Here are some awesome pics from our Halloween edition of CollegeLife, taken by our very own Loc (who came dressed as a tourist photographer-fitting).
we had indians
doctors, princesses /Audrey Hepburn,
nuns, cowboys, static cling
sumo/marshmellow man
gameboy and ipod
and Jack Skellington- as we talked about the Christian response to death! I PROMISE we did not plan to talk about death on the Sunday we had a Halloween party! Ask Greg Bock, he wouldn’t lie.
This is just a small sampling of the outfits, stayed tuned for more later.
See you this weekend as we wrap up our 3 part series on the Sanctity of Life.
Happy Halloween.
So you won’t want to miss the Halloween addition of CollegeLife. Same time and same place- 7pm at Greenbrier Ridge Clubhouse, but this week you have to dress up in your Halloween Costume! Be creative! A box of cereal, a flashlight, thumbtack… Hope to see you there.
Also we will be continuing in our 3 part series led by Greg Bock on the Sanctity of Life. If you missed the first week you missed some great discussion on abortion, the beginning of life and our Christian response to them all. I really hope you can make it this week.
The grim reaper might not be a bad costume as we talk about the end of life this week!
Go Vols beat S. Carolina.
This week at CollegeLife week talked about how whether we like it or not our circumstances have a huge impact on us. One person doesn’t show up at a movie, he/she doesn’t call back, you get a raise…all these little changes in circumstance can have a huge impact on us.
The problem comes when we take this idea of the power of circumstance and apply it to God! We start thinking things like, “Dad got cancer, God must be mad” “I got a raise God must really love me” “I passed without studying, Thanks God!”
The truth is our circumstances cannot have an impact on our view of God, rather our view of God should have a complete impact on our circumstances. Just look over Psalm 13 and look at how in the midst of a crazy life David says he can “trust” in the Lord. Wow.
So we’re putting it to the test THIS Saturday. UT vs. FL! We’ll be watching the UT Game on the huge screen in the high school room at church. So bring a friend, wear some orange and be ready to have a great time. The game starts at 3:30pm so feel free to get there a little early for pregame and we’ll have snacks and drinks. Here’s your ticket, you’re invited to a great day of football.
See you Saturday and Sunday!
