CollegeLife is Fellowship Church’s College Ministry. The goal of CollegeLife is to help you grow spiritually and connect relationally. CollegeLife is a great place to start making this big place feel small.

CollegeLife consists of 4 different community groups throughout the week. We offer 4 different groups so that you can find a time that works for you.

All of the community groups study the same material and consist of the same makeup, they simply meet at different times. The community groups are student and volunteer led. Our desire is to see students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

These groups are intentionally smaller so that you have an opportunity to “do life” together. This is not a place to come sit in row, but rather a place to sit in a circle and know one another.

    Our groups meet on:

Sunday morning at 9:15am in room 601.

Sunday Night at 7pm at Greenbrier Ridge Apartments. Directions on the blog.

Tuesday Night at 7:30 pm.contact Rob Kuban for directions. robkuban@yahoo.com

Thursday Night at 7pm. contact Steven Leggett for directions. steven.leggett2@gmail.com

  • free-lunchSunday August 23rd after second service we are having a free lunch for all college students.

We do this for a couple of reasons.

    1. We want to welcome you to Fellowship Church and let you know how grateful we are that you consider Fellowship while you are in college.

    2. Who doesn’t want a free lunch?

    3. We not only want you to come to worship, but we truly want you to feel at home at Fellowship and we want to get information in your hand about the best way to get involved.

So come Sunday to a free lunch in the quad, to the left of the worship center!

  • crossroadCrossroad begins TONIGHT at 8pm.

    Is this for real?

In 2004 I was the camp pastor at a youth camp all summer in Daytona Beach. The campus where I lived all summer had a high dive.  I’m not talking about a board that was a little higher than an average board and had a little bit more bounce.  I’m talking about a genuine high dive.

    High.

Climbing the steps was an aerobic activity. High.

    Steep.

I remember every week the students would see the board and their eyes became like saucers. “No way! A high dive!”

But without fail, there was always some hesitation the first time everyone jumped off the board. Even the most athletic kid at camp you would see a split second of doubt, hesitation and fear right before they jumped.

    Why?

The only reason they feared was the unknown and the what if?

    What if…

    … I completely bust.

… everyone laughs at my lame dive.

    …this really hurts.

    …i slip.

    …i cry.

    …what if……

But it’s worth climbing the stairs, walking down a long blue bouncing board and jumping for the reward.  Falling thru the air, splashing into the water, hearing your friends scream and clap is a rush. A rush that cannot be experienced unless you take a risk and go for it.

This fall we are going to ask you to take a risk.  Be involved in ways we’ve never asked you to be involved.  Ask you to know students and Christ in ways that maybe you’ve never experienced.

There will be lots of questions.  There will be lots of what ifs…

    What if…

    …they don’t like me.

    … i don’t click with the group.

…they probably know more about the bible than me.

… they all already know each other.

    …i don’t understand.

…they don’t want me in their community group.

    …what if?

But I promise you, until you are willing to take the risk you won’t know the reward of living the Christian life in a community of believers.

    So get prepared to jump.

This Sunday at 7pm in the high school room come find out how you can jump on in!

    Change is never easy.

    Never.

We assume things should stay they same, but they continue to change.

We think we’ve reached the apex, but then there is more.

Even changing clothes at time is hard, wouldn’t it be easier to simply fall asleep on the couch in my jeans?
    Change is coming.
Classes start back in one week.
At the beginning of every semester I have dreams of things being different.

Maybe this will be the semester our numbers blow the roof off.

Maybe this will be the semester every day is sunny and all my conversations are easy.

Maybe this will be the semester that I don’t struggle with what people think about me..

    Maybe…

What are the things you are excited, anxious, nervous, hopeful for.

    Spill it.

  • cropsummerTonight is the final summer gathering at Greenbrier Clubhouse (directions are listed above). I am very excited that we will be talking about the fall and where our ministry is heading and how YOU can be involved. Tonight will be a great opportunity to ask questions and get answers about the coming school year.
We of course will also be playing volleyball and grabbing ice cream afterward.
    7pm. Greenbrier. See you there.
